Glen Cove CDA

City of Glen Cove

The City of Glen Cove has received funding from a variety of sources that have recognized the significance of this project, not only for Glen Cove, but for the entire region.

Funding has been provided by the following organizations and individuals:

  • American Recovery and Reinvestment (ARRA) Funding

Glen Cove has received $11 million in stimulus or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for construction of a new ferry terminal project and boat basin.  Having this project shovel ready made all the difference in our ability to receive this funding.  Our federal government has recognized that a ferry service will bring about an economic boost, create jobs and improve transportation options and linkages to and from Glen Cove, an important step in the rebirth of the waterfront.

  • Restore NY Funding

Glen Cove has secured $695,000 in Restore New York Funding for construction of the Ferry Terminal

  • Ferry Boat Discretionary Funding

The Glen Cove Ferry Terminal and Boat Basin has been consistently supported by our federal New York State Delegation – Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Former Senator Hillary Clinton, and Congressman Peter King who have worked to secure federal appropriations for this project.
